A Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is a long-term contractual arrangement between an energy provider and a client, where the provider finances, installs, and operates a solar energy system on the client’s premises. The client purchases the electricity generated at a predetermined rate, typically lower than utility tariffs, without incurring upfront capital expenditure. PPAs enable predictable energy costs, operational risk transfer, and immediate access to sustainable energy solutions.
System Design & Assessment:
We conduct a detailed analysis of your facility’s energy profile, load patterns, and operational requirements to design a tailored solar system.
Financing & Installation :
Gravity Energy fully finances, procures, and installs the system, ensuring compliance with technical, safety, and regulatory standards.
Operation & Maintenance – We provide continuous monitoring, preventative and corrective maintenance, and performance optimisation to maximise system output and reliability.
Electricity Supply:
You purchase the electricity generated at a fixed or slightly escalating rate per kWh, providing predictable energy costs and immediate savings compared to Eskom tariffs.
End-of-Term Options:
At the conclusion of the 10–25 year agreement, ownership can transfer to you, or the agreement can be renewed, offering flexible long-term energy strategy options.
